I'm Raeven, and I have devoted my life to bringing joy to others through my art.
As someone who has always been passionate about creating art, I've come to realize that my work is not just about capturing likeness or beauty, but about giving people the gift of being seen. For those who have been marginalized, silenced, or erased from society – being seen is a form of liberation. It's a chance to reclaim their identity, their story, and their voice.

For those who have experienced trauma and felt invisible – being seen is a form of healing. It's a chance to process their emotions, find validation, and reconnect with their own sense of self.

And it's not just about humans – our furry friends also deserve to be seen! When I create custom pet portraits, I'm not just capturing a likeness; I'm honoring the bond between pet and owner. We're celebrating the love, companionship, and joy that our pets bring to our lives.

Through my custom hand-painted portraits, I strive to create a space where people can be seen in all their glory. Where they can be perceived outside of social norms and expectations. Where they can be celebrated for who they are – without apology or pretension.

I believe that when we are seen and heard, we are empowered. We are reminded that we are worthy of love, acceptance, and respect. And it's this kind of empowerment that I hope to bring to every person who sits for a portrait with me.

I'm an animal lover
We've all got a whole album dedicated to our fur babies, right? This is Sunshine.

Sunshine is my best friend, my confidante, and my constant companion. Every morning, she curls up beside me as I sip my coffee, as if to make sure I'm fully awake and ready for the day.
And throughout the day, she keeps me entertained with her non-stop meowing about the birds outside (I'm pretty sure she's trying to tell me some important bird gossip!).

But the best part of our day is when I head towards her toy bin - it's like she knows it means playtime is coming! She gets so excited, and it's absolutely adorable!
I'm a community member
My studio is my happy place, where I can get lost in the creative process and let my imagination run wild. But what really gets me going is collaborating with others to bring their ideas to life.
Whether it's a couple wanting to make their special day unforgettable, a family seeking to honor their loved one's memory, or a stranger who needs a little pick-me-up, I'm all about creating art that connects with people and becomes a part of their story.

And, of course, I'm an artist
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the world of art. As a child, I would spend hours creating and experimenting with different mediums, and my teachers would often encourage me to keep exploring my creative side.

As I reflect on my experiences, I realize that being a good artist is not just about formal education, but about dedication, persistence, and practice. So, I continued to hone my craft and eventually became a professional artist in 2017.
​
For me, being an artist is about using my skills to serve others and bring joy into their lives. Whether it's creating a custom piece for a client's home, office, or special occasion, or designing public art that adds beauty to our community, I'm passionate about making a positive impact. When I'm not working on commissioned projects, I love experimenting with new techniques and mediums, simply because it brings me joy.
I have my favorite pieces displayed throughout the house, and it's amazing to see how my artwork can become a part of our memories and stories. When I go on vacations, I always bring my supplies along and create pieces that I can cherish together with the people around me.

As an artist, I'm also deeply passionate about sharing my knowledge with others. I believe that art is a skill that can be learned with dedication and practice, and I love teaching people the techniques and tips I've picked up over the years.
